Weddings
Weddings are a little like snowflakes, no two are alike. Requirements may vary.
I cater to people who want an individualized approach (instead of the traditionally church organ). The wedding ceremony is usually broken down into three components:
1. The Prelude
Played approximately 20 minutes to a half hour before the ceremony starts (depending on when people show up). I am usually there an hour before the service to set up. Two musical selections of your choosing would complete the Prelude, one for the bridesmaids and one selection as the bride walks down the aisle. Sometimes one selection will suffice, defending on the number of bridesmaids.
2. The Service
Hymns, lighting of a candle, signing of the register etc. These are all optional depending on what you want included in your wedding.
3. The Recessional
This is generally a brisk styled piece as the newlyweds greet the guests after the service. This is easier to make recommendations over the phone or in person. Some people leave it all up to me. Either way I would need to know the order of the service. The minister or Justice of the Peace will also be going through this with you. It really is up to you what you want; some elements are clearly necessary but generally almost anything can work as long as it is appropriate. I would need to know what church it is being held at or the venue if it is not at a church.
